新CN-E20mm T1.5 L F镜头可实现高水准的视频创作表现，从画面中心至边缘，都能保持4K分辨率，支持采用35mm全画幅影像传感器的高画质摄影机，如EOS C700 FF数字电影摄影机（与此镜头同时发布）和EOS-1D C数码单反相机（ 2012年10月份发布） 。而且，当应用于使用超35mm规格影像传感器的摄影机时，该镜头可实现约29.2mm等效焦距（ 以35mm规格计算） ，适用于拍摄多种场景中的广视角画面。此外，该镜头采用了11叶片光圈结构，T值1 为1.5，能实现柔和、自然的背景虚化效果。
自2011年11月Cinema EOS系统及EF电影镜头诞生起，佳能便不断扩充EF电影镜头产品阵营。包括2014年发布的电影伺服镜头系列和紧凑型电影伺服镜头系列等配备伺服功能的镜头在内，佳能 EF电影镜头得到了用户的广泛赞誉。CN-E20mm T1.5 L F的推出，使EF电影镜头产品数量增加到21款2 ，为Cinema EOS用户提供了更多选择，在面对多用途和多样化拍摄场景时，能帮助用户进一步提升影像内容的创造力。
1. 镜头F值是根据焦距及光圈计算出的亮度理论数值。T值是根据F值以及镜片透射比计算的数值，该数值是衡量电影镜头亮度的标准参数。 2. 包括EF及PL卡口版本的高端变焦镜头、紧凑型变焦镜头以及电影伺服镜头。固定焦距镜头以及紧凑型电影伺服镜头仅提供EF卡口版本。
